Sexual Abuse: Basics to Understanding and Intervening (SAB-45)
The presentation includes a basic overview of types of sexual abuse, the myths about sexual abuse, signs and symptoms of sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder. The workshop will also address worker resistance to intervening with sexually abused children/adolescents and will discuss “best-practice” intervention skills.
